DAD: Now on Thingiverse!

I am no longer carrying the DAD 3D printed figures. Instead, David is uploading them to Thingiverse and offering them as free STL file downloads. These you can either print on your own printer or upload to somewhere like Shapeways and get printed.

Here is the LINK.  <<<

As Mork would have said: "Fly! Be Free!" ;-)

The situation could change again, but I am back being able to order DAD product, including special orders.

Reminder: The 40% off Tekumel Club Sale ends Jan 19th!

Smiley want to say something...

Just a reminder that this sale ends January 19th!

A great opportunity to save 40%!

Or 50% if already a Tekumel Club member! Not sure if you are? If you have ordered from me in the past then consider your membership is still valid regardless of how long ago it was.  8)

A warning: I am running low on some things. I can give you a rain check but I cannot guarantee how long it will take to get the necessary bits. There are just too many imponderables.

Also: I have severely limited numbers of my original Yan Koryani - Valiant of Ke'er, Tleku Miriya 1 & 2 and even Turquoise Eye. These were originally produced via Eureka.

I even have a few unreleased Yan Koryani in the form of Black Bough 2-handed swordsmen, and Heavy infantry with pikes. The latter does for a number of units. These remain unreleased because I am missing bits such as standards, or in the case of the Black Bough sword blades as well.

BUT it may be the case that you are not particular - you can stick weapons on from your bits box, or are willing to substitute shields from my generic fantasy range, or can make your own standard. I have the castings and will sell them. If they would normally come with shields you can pick shields form my generic range to go with them (included in the price, of course.)

All I'm saying is they're "as is" for the moment. Until the moulds get made or the greens finished. This is all stuff I have little or no control of.

So, again, a reminder: the sale ends on Jan 19th!

The Tekumel Club - Trial Membership offer: save 40%

EDIT: Offer extended until Jan 19th, 2020.

In lieu of a Black Friday sale I have decided to offer trial one month Tekumel Club memberships: For the month of December  until Jan 19th, 2020, anybody can purchase Tekumel Club products as if they were Tekumel Club members. This is a savings of 40% off the regular prices. Note that there are some items the discount does not apply to, most noticeably the DAD 3D printed stuff, which I have to import from the USA.

What is the Tekumel Club?

The membership costs $50 CAD and provides a 40% discount from the regular price of items, subject to the limitations noted above. The duration is indefinite: if I had a really large range I would make it one year, like the Old Glory Army Card, but my range isn't, and I want people to feel they have gotten their money's worth, so currently no expiry date. Many people renew anyway, every few years, because the Tekumel Project is the only source of Tekumel miniatures and joining the club helps there to be more.

Normally, the "break-even" point with the club is at $128 give or take. By that I mean that $128 worth of miniatures w/o the discount is approximately the same as $128 worth of miniatures, less 40%, plus the $50 cost of the membership.

So the offer is:

1) For the month of December 2019 Until Jan 19th 2020, you may trial the Tekumel Club membership for free;

2) You will get the 40% discount on any Tekumel Project miniatures on offer - per the restrictions noted above;

3) I reserve the right to cancel or limit quantities at any time;

4) If, by the end of the Sale, you have purchased $128 or more miniatures you will be offered the opportunity to join the Tekumel Club for free;

5) As a reward for current members, I can offer an additional 10% off for the month. Recent purchasers will get a credit.

Hope this all seems reasonable and correct to you!

New Arrivals and a Price Increase - Oh No!

From the collection of Tony Yates

New arrivals to the Palace of Ever-Glorious War in the form of generic light infantry skirmisher girls. Khmer Amazons from my Garden of Kama range, now offered as a Horde pack for $40. Note that weapons and shields are not provided. I recommend wire javelins from North Star Miniatures. The figures have tabs but are NOT supplied with slotta bases.

And my generic shields have gone up a quarter to $1 each due to rising costs. :-(

Dháru and Vánu in stock!

Excerpt from the Swords & Glory Map 2

Just a quick note to say that I have received stocks [again] of the new Dháru and Vánu figures mentioned in my last post. Tomorrow I will be sorting them into packs. About 800 figures into about 80 packs. These will be "horde" packs only as I am still sorting out the command; by "sorting out", in this case, I mean: "getting them sculpted and cast". The swordsman packs are also missing their shields, which are still in the moulding queue. I will send them on later to anyone who buys a pack.

The Gurék of the Clan of the Red and Green Banner of Dháru
AE-YK   35   Horde (MI Halberds)   $40 CAD
AE-YK   37   Horde (Crossbows)   $40 CAD

AE-YK 35 & 40 Halberds

AE-YK 37 Crossbows

The Gurék of the City of Vánu
AE-YK   40   Horde (HI Halberds)   $40 CAD
AE-YK   42   Horde (MI Sword and Javelin)   $40 CAD
AE-YK   44   Horde (Bows)   $40 CAD

AE-YK 42 Swords

AE-YK 44 Bows

Tekumel Club discounts apply, of course.

As always, a Horde will consist of a mix of 10 figures, either swordsmen, halberdiers, archers or with crossbows. Note that there are male and female poses. I usually do 2/3rds male, 1/3 female but can vary an order to suit.

NEW RELEASE PENDING: Dháru and Vánu Guréks for Yan Kor

Dharu and Vanu troopers (on left)

The figures shown above, representing male and female fighters from the cities of Dháru and Vánu in Northern Yan Kor have finally been moulded and are ready for production. Command are still being worked on, but the following are available to pre-order:

The Gurék of the Clan of the Red and Green Banner of Dháru
AE-YK   35   Horde (MI Halberds)   $40 CAD
AE-YK   37   Horde (Crossbows)   $40 CAD
The Gurék of the City of Vánu
AE-YK   40   Horde (HI Halberds)   $40 CAD
AE-YK   42   Horde (MI Sword and Javelin)   $40 CAD
AE-YK   44   Horde (Bows)   $40 CAD

Tekumel Club discounts apply, of course.

As always, a Horde will consist of a mix of 10 figures, either swordsmen, halberdiers, archers or with crossbows. Note that there are male and female poses. I usually do 2/3rds male, 1/3 female but can vary an order to suit.

I still have to pay for the moulding and casting - Master moulds and figures, Production moulds, inc. weapons, accessories (scabbards, quivers), and shields. And I have to pay for any castings ordered. The sculpting costs were paid long ago, thankfully.

An Appeal for Pre-Orders:

Please pre-order these now, or soon, if you are interested.

I should have some castings on hand by the weekend and more coming by mail shortly thereafter. But I won't be able to order many castings without pre-orders, not right away at least.

Thank You!

Howard Fielding

One Hundred and Fifty First!

Next Sunday will be Canada's one hundred and fifty-first birthday and to celebrate the event I am making permanent a change I tried earlier this year. Namely, that the prices on Tekumel Project figures are now be stated in Canadian Dollars.

Note that the prices have not changed - just read CAD instead of USD.

And the prices for David Allan Designs will still be USD. This is because I have to import them.

Otherwise customers in countries with a good exchange rate will enjoy a nice savings, and my Canadian customers will finally stop being penalized.

Unamoured Ahoggya Status Change!

Status Change from: "In Stock" to "Sold Out"!

My source for resin bodies is no longer available, being swamped under his own work. I might resort to selling the Ahoggya as metal kits with separate legs.

I still have stock of the armoured bodies.

And continues...

Added the original Empire of the Petal Throne art, by Professor Barker himself, and on which The Sacrifice vignette is based, to The Palace of the Priesthoods of the Gods page.

Updates continuing...

I've added the Hlutrgu and the Qol - at least those Qol currently available. They are under the Inimical Races and Underworld sections, respectively.

Also expanded the How To Order section. I see this as becoming a sort of FAQ section over time, so if you have any questions or suggestions please email me.

All the sections are going to be expanded with background and pictures. Eventually there will be painting guides and perhaps articles about the subjects - maybe scenarios for games.

Clustermaps a problem?

After hearing a report of this blog raising flags with Google Chrome, I had a look through all the code I have access to and cannot find anything odd. The only thing new was the Cluster Maps so I deleted it for the time being.

After much delay the long-awaited re-design is underway. Wear your hard hats and safety shoes and watch out for falling bricks!
