Reminder: The 40% off Tekumel Club Sale ends Jan 19th!

Smiley want to say something...

Just a reminder that this sale ends January 19th!

A great opportunity to save 40%!

Or 50% if already a Tekumel Club member! Not sure if you are? If you have ordered from me in the past then consider your membership is still valid regardless of how long ago it was.  8)

A warning: I am running low on some things. I can give you a rain check but I cannot guarantee how long it will take to get the necessary bits. There are just too many imponderables.

Also: I have severely limited numbers of my original Yan Koryani - Valiant of Ke'er, Tleku Miriya 1 & 2 and even Turquoise Eye. These were originally produced via Eureka.

I even have a few unreleased Yan Koryani in the form of Black Bough 2-handed swordsmen, and Heavy infantry with pikes. The latter does for a number of units. These remain unreleased because I am missing bits such as standards, or in the case of the Black Bough sword blades as well.

BUT it may be the case that you are not particular - you can stick weapons on from your bits box, or are willing to substitute shields from my generic fantasy range, or can make your own standard. I have the castings and will sell them. If they would normally come with shields you can pick shields form my generic range to go with them (included in the price, of course.)

All I'm saying is they're "as is" for the moment. Until the moulds get made or the greens finished. This is all stuff I have little or no control of.

So, again, a reminder: the sale ends on Jan 19th!

New Arrivals and a Price Increase - Oh No!

From the collection of Tony Yates

New arrivals to the Palace of Ever-Glorious War in the form of generic light infantry skirmisher girls. Khmer Amazons from my Garden of Kama range, now offered as a Horde pack for $40. Note that weapons and shields are not provided. I recommend wire javelins from North Star Miniatures. The figures have tabs but are NOT supplied with slotta bases.

And my generic shields have gone up a quarter to $1 each due to rising costs. :-(

Dháru and Vánu in stock!

Excerpt from the Swords & Glory Map 2

Just a quick note to say that I have received stocks [again] of the new Dháru and Vánu figures mentioned in my last post. Tomorrow I will be sorting them into packs. About 800 figures into about 80 packs. These will be "horde" packs only as I am still sorting out the command; by "sorting out", in this case, I mean: "getting them sculpted and cast". The swordsman packs are also missing their shields, which are still in the moulding queue. I will send them on later to anyone who buys a pack.

The Gurék of the Clan of the Red and Green Banner of Dháru
AE-YK   35   Horde (MI Halberds)   $40 CAD
AE-YK   37   Horde (Crossbows)   $40 CAD

AE-YK 35 & 40 Halberds

AE-YK 37 Crossbows

The Gurék of the City of Vánu
AE-YK   40   Horde (HI Halberds)   $40 CAD
AE-YK   42   Horde (MI Sword and Javelin)   $40 CAD
AE-YK   44   Horde (Bows)   $40 CAD

AE-YK 42 Swords

AE-YK 44 Bows

Tekumel Club discounts apply, of course.

As always, a Horde will consist of a mix of 10 figures, either swordsmen, halberdiers, archers or with crossbows. Note that there are male and female poses. I usually do 2/3rds male, 1/3 female but can vary an order to suit.

NEW RELEASE PENDING: Dháru and Vánu Guréks for Yan Kor

Dharu and Vanu troopers (on left)

The figures shown above, representing male and female fighters from the cities of Dháru and Vánu in Northern Yan Kor have finally been moulded and are ready for production. Command are still being worked on, but the following are available to pre-order:

The Gurék of the Clan of the Red and Green Banner of Dháru
AE-YK   35   Horde (MI Halberds)   $40 CAD
AE-YK   37   Horde (Crossbows)   $40 CAD
The Gurék of the City of Vánu
AE-YK   40   Horde (HI Halberds)   $40 CAD
AE-YK   42   Horde (MI Sword and Javelin)   $40 CAD
AE-YK   44   Horde (Bows)   $40 CAD

Tekumel Club discounts apply, of course.

As always, a Horde will consist of a mix of 10 figures, either swordsmen, halberdiers, archers or with crossbows. Note that there are male and female poses. I usually do 2/3rds male, 1/3 female but can vary an order to suit.

I still have to pay for the moulding and casting - Master moulds and figures, Production moulds, inc. weapons, accessories (scabbards, quivers), and shields. And I have to pay for any castings ordered. The sculpting costs were paid long ago, thankfully.

An Appeal for Pre-Orders:

Please pre-order these now, or soon, if you are interested.

I should have some castings on hand by the weekend and more coming by mail shortly thereafter. But I won't be able to order many castings without pre-orders, not right away at least.

Thank You!

Swamp Folk!

The "unboxing"...

Scale Comparison...

Ready to man any vessel you command...

A box was at the post office yesterday when I checked at lunchtime. Rushing back to the office I opened it to see some 600 Swamp Folk glaring up at me. Resin figures, originally sculpted by Ian Mountain.

They are gradually being brought into the shop. I have to sort out the codes as I see I am still showing the old system. You can use those codes if you want. I also modified the price. I had a sit down and worked out all the costs and discovered that the price I had intended to use would have meant I was pretty much just giving figures to people at pretty much my cost. Somehow I don't think that is how a business is supposed to work. I mean, I understand the concept of the "loss leader" but 1) that can't apply to everything you sell and 2) I think one wants a considerably higher sales volume than I am ever likely to achieve to get into things like that. :-)

You can find the Swamp Folk in the Palace of the Realm - one of the links in the sidebar to your right...

Lorún - First Packs!

Lorún Princess, painted by Shadowkings

The first packs of our Lorún tribals are in the Palace of Ever-Glorious War using the AE-LO code. (For "Armies and Enemies of the Petal Throne - Lorún"). These are essentially the tribal command figures. The warriors are still being worked on.

Sculpted by David Soderquist.

Better Shén pictures...

Shén Merchant and Diplomat, painted by Pictors Studios
Sculpted by Allan Marsh

The Palace of Foreign Persons (PF)

PF 33 Shén - Diplomat $6.00
PF 34 Shén - Merchant $6.00

These are posted with sincere apologies to Dave Imre who had requested better pictures when I first posted pics way back in July! I'm certain I would have read his comments and have no real excuse except for failing memory and that July was a bad time for Family Emergencies. Anyway, I noticed his request a few days ago and resolved to make up for my tardiness. I hope these pictures suffice. :-)

Lorún  Shamaness, also painted by Pictors
Sculpted by Nicholas Genovese

The Lorún (AE-LO)

AE-LO 1 Lorún Shamaness (Fireweaver) $6.00

The Lorún are relatives of the N'luss and so stand much taller than most humans on Tékumel. Her body paint is inspired by the work of François Miville-Deschênes.

Shén Advance Orders Open

Hi Guys,

After long delay, the Shén are finally going into production. For those of you unfamiliar with Tékumel, the Shén are reptilian aliens that followed humans to Tékumel. They live in the hot South near the equator – and by "Hot" I mean Hotter as Tsolyánu is hot as it is! Many Shén serve as mercenaries in the armies of Tsolyánu, Salarvyá, Mu'ugalavyá, Yán Kór and Livyánu, the five great empires that rule this hemisphere of Tékumel.

Note that this applies to only slightly more than half of our Shén figures. This is because the master figures share a mold with Eureka's figures so I don't have access to the Master mold. I have master figures but they suffer from the same difference in metal type that plagued the Ahoggyá. These will require low temperature molds before we can begin production. This really sucks, but there is little we can do at this point. Little did we know what path things would take when the figures were first made!

Anyway, going into production are:

TEK-20 Shén Officer
TEK-21 Shén Standard Bearer
TEK-22 Shén Drummer
TEK-23 Shén Berserker
TEK-25 Shén Trooper 1 - with 1H Weapon
TEK-27 Shén Trooper 3 - with 2H Weapon
TEK-29 Shén Diplomat
TEK-30 Shén Merchant

NOT YET AVAILABLE - Waiting for low temp molding and/or accessories:

TEK-26 Shén Trooper 2 - with 1H Weapon
TEK-28 Shén Trooper 4 - with 2H Weapon
TEK-24 Shén Firing X-Bow Pistol
TEK-31 Shén Civilian 1 - with Staff
TEK-32 Shén Civilian 2
TEK-33 Shén Civilian 3
TEK-34 Human General in "Shén" Armour

We are offering these figures for the non-member price of:
$6.00 each;
$60.00 for a "Warband" consisting of 10 trooper (5 of each pose) plus the 3 command figures;
$50.00 for a "Horde" consisting of just the 10 troopers.

Tékumel Club members will of course benefit from their usual club discount.

The intent is to due the remainder of the Shén next, and assuming no major hiccups with that then moving on to the Ahoggyá.

We will be offering additional shield types for the Shén as well, to match other legions in mercenary service throughout the Five Empires.

For our Summer Catalogue please check my previous blog post.

Or email me at the address below, and I will send you the PDF directly.

Thanks you all for your interest and support. I hope you enjoy our figures.

Best Regards,

Howard Fielding

...and here they are!

Castings arrived Yesterday! They look sweet! I am putting together a proper PDF catalog. In the meantime, all but the columns are listed in the pages to the right.

The columns are technically part of a larger set and not certain about how to sell them - or if to sell them now, or wait - or what the pricing should be...

Comments? Suggestions?
